Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe is a favourite at our house. Nothing beats fresh baked cookies, and they’re even better when made with fresh ground flour! Try this recipe made with our signature whole wheat flour.

WARNING: VERY ADDICTING

Recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened.
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2  1/4 cups North Country Grains WHOLE GRAIN flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

1.) Heat oven to 375 degrees F
2.) Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons, approx 2″ apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
3.) Bake approx 10-12 minutes or until light brown (centres will be soft). Cool slightly, remove from cookie sheet. Finish cooling on a wire rack.
